Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Inbound Logistics Choose Smart Software for Top 100 Lists
Belmont, Mass., July 24, 2007 - Smart Software, Inc.,
provider of industry-leading demand forecasting, planning, and inventory
optimization solutions, today announced that two supply chain industry
publications, Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Inbound
Logistics, have chosen the company to be on their "Top 100" lists for the
third year in a row. The listings recognize Smart Software as a leader in
its industry domain, and highlight the company's strengths in technical
innovation and the ability to meet customers' needs.
For the third year, Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine chose
Smart Software for its sixth-annual "Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100" in
its June/July 2007 issue. The judging committee looked for solutions that
"assist in the transformation of a diverse mix of the functions that make up the
supply chain." The companies chosen represent leading providers of supply
chain solutions that have been instrumental in helping their customers meet the
challenges of today's marketplace.
According to the magazine, the "2007
Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100" are supply chain service and
technology providers that are at the forefront of enabling the 21st century
supply chain. The publication also sought to uncover "the best practices
and processes that leading companies are putting in place around these services
and technologies to bring new competitive advantage to their supply
chains." As part of the evaluation process, Smart Software reported best
practices at its customer SKF Vehicle Service Market, a parts supplier to the
automotive aftermarket that has achieved outstanding forecasting and inventory
management results using Smart's flagship product, SmartForecasts®
Enterprise.
In the April 2007 issue of Inbound Logistics Magazine, Smart Software
was also chosen for the third time, from more than 500 companies, as a "Top 100
Logistics IT Provider". The "Top 100" are listed on the Inbound Logistics
website as part of its LIT Decision Support Tool, where readers can enter their
logistics IT requirements and see which solution providers are best suited to
their needs.
"We're very pleased to be recognized by these well-respected industry
publications for the third year in a row," said Charles Smart, president and CEO
of Smart Software. "Their recognition affirms our continuing efforts to provide
innovative and effective demand planning and inventory optimization solutions to
a broad group of customers in a variety of industries."
